Blog review
Today we reviewed each others blogs to see how we were doing and areas we could improve on. Leonardo explained that my blog shows how what artists I am influenced by clearly and why I have picked them. At this point I only have two blog points so he explained that my first post 'crit exhibition week' was a lot more in-depth whereas the 'London exhibition' piece wasn't as detailed or have any artists but then he questioned that maybe there wasn't any artists that influenced me.
He noticed that in my critical writing I am writing about the feedback I have recieved from peers, tutors and artist practises. Also how I show my experements, sketches, change of ideas and failures in both posts. He also goes on to say how my blogs are read as a diary because everything is wrote to an extent however it still remains critical.
He continues to explain well I have demonstrated the influences of the practice well and how aware I am of feedback anf artists that I have looked at. He has noticed how much I like to use acryluc paint and how it's in my comfort zone however he has put into consideration that I have mentioned that I might try new areas and see if I can move away from that comfort zone.
Another thing Leonardo has pointed outis how easy it is to follow the blog because I have added pictures and put in headlines to go with each section and experementation that I went through. Also how I show my development, again using pictures. He explains that it shows a learning curve by experimenting and decided whether I want to use it or carry on doing something else.
At this stage I am really behind on my blogs so even though Leonardo pointed out a lot of positives and how well my blog is presented, I personally thought it would have been easier for him to review my blog if I had kept up to date with my work and had a lot more posts.
