Uncensored project

Covering the space so no one can see what we are doing/making is what made the project uncensored, it was fun and mysterious to keep the work a secret.
For this project, I decided to choose to work with something that I struggle with a lot, which is my anxieties.
I chose two major anxieties which have and continue to hold me back a lot. The first one, being an art related anxiety is working on a large scale, having my work bold so everyone can see it straight away. The reason for this is because I always think 'my work isn't good enough', 'no-one will like it' so if it's hidden away then no-one will realise it's there. The second anxiety I want to work with is the anxiety of myself looking in the mirror with no makeup on and the only time I do look in the mirror is to apply make-up.

Outcome 1

From these two thoughts I came up with the idea of making some kind of work using mirrors, I started gathering lots of mirrors, small and big. After putting these up on the wall, I worked with my anxiety and drew my reflection on the mirror with some makeup as if I am putting makeup on my face, but not physically putting it on, so I'm still technically looking in the mirror without having make-up on.

Outcome 2

After creating this piece, I needed to think of a second outcome that related but was different. I decided to try and make something of the uncensored part which, I created a series of blind drawings. Doing this was really fun and the outcomes were quite funny. It made me think of the way I draw myself without looking at what I was actually drawing.
