Lino Printing induction

I have used lino printing quite a lot in my past art work but I found it really good to recap over everything and being introduced to new and more advanced ways of working with lino and printing them.
I decided to carry on using an abstract pattern from my self led project and just sticking to making up the pattern as I went along, looking mainly at geometric shapes.

First print

On the first day I created this lino cut inspired by Bantings prints, using some of the same patterns to get some inspiration. From this I created a print to practice and see how it would come out and a relief print, I found both of these very successful and the outcomes came out exactly like I wanted them to.

Second print
Between the first and second day I cut out another lino just going with it and making up the patterns as I was going along. I created this one by experimenting with the different ways I can cut, using straight lines, different deepness, making circles and how the lino cuts while doing it fast and slow.

Final outcome

On the second day, I decided to created one piece using both of the lino prints, creating an abstract piece, again using different colours to link with my self led project and so I can carry on using lino in my self led project.

I really like this outcome, in particular the parts that have overlapped because of how the two colours have combined, changing the colour completely.

To progress from this I want to create larger linos as well as experiment on different coloured papers and moving back onto using fabrics but staying with using all the bright colours.
